4. determine的用法

▲ 構詞：determination n. 決心，決斷，決意；決定，確定

① determine to do sth 決定做某事

▲ 辨析：decide；determine這兩個詞都有“決定”的意思。decide的含義是“不再遲疑不定”，而

在be determined to do…這個固定的結構中。過去分詞determined的詞義為“下定了決心”。
