Dear Bob,

I’m glad to have received your E-mail and thank you for your concern about my preparations for the coming College Entrance Examination. I have made great progress in all my subjects and become increasingly skillful at answering the questions. There are, however, still some problems with my studies. All my subjects, for example, are just above the average and none of them ranks top in my class. Confident but a little worried, I’m now busy with my studies from morning till night, making use of every minute to learn more. In the months ahead, I will, on the one hand, try to improve efficiency and do more exercises to have a better insight into the questions.
