   Chinese people have become crazy about learning English in recent years. Recently our class held a discussion about why we should learn English and whether English should be emphasized so much.

   Over 72℅ of the students think we should learn and emphasize English. First, they think it is helpful for us to introduce Chinese culture to people in other countries. Second, it makes getting information from abroad more convenient and broadens our vision. Third, learning English well helps us find a good job. But about 26℅ of the students think too much emphasis is placed on English. They think we spend too much time on English. They think have a bad effect on other subjects.

   In my opinion, we should try our best to learn all the subjects well so that we can make a contribution to our country in the future.
