8．Powell Jobs，known as the wife of Apple founder Steve Jobs，is an American businesswoman，executive and the founder of Emerson Collective，which advocates policies concerning education and immigration reform，social justice and environmental conservation．She is also co-founder and president of the Board of College Track，which prepares disadvantaged high school students for college．
In 1997，Powell Jobs and Carlos Watson co-founded College Track，a nonprofit organization in East Palo Alto to improve high school graduation，college enrollment（入學登記注冊），and college graduation rates for students from poor families．Of College Track's high school graduates，many of whom are first-generation college students，approximately 90 percent attend four-year colleges and 70 percent finish college in six years，whereas the national average for first-generation college students is 24 percent．
Powell Jobs is one of the wealthiest persons in the United States，with a net worth of 19.1 billion，according to Forbes．Although known for keeping a low public profile，Powell Jobs attracted attention with her announcement of a $50 million project to reshape the American high school，in September 2015．The project is Called XQ：The Super School Project，which aims to inspire teams of educators，students，and community leaders to create and carry out new plans for high schools．She believes high schools fail to serve American kids because they were designed a hundred years ago for an industrial society，so what the high school needs is a complete change．XQ encourages schools to re-imagine and design the next American high school because while daily lives have changed，schools have not．
