    It’s three months since I moved to Shanghai with my parents. Now I am studying at a new school, but I don’t know the school very well and I don’t have any friends here. I’m not sure how to talk to my new classmates. Sometimes I am nervous and I cannot answer their questions. I feel really uncomfortable when they talk to me.

    I miss you and my old friends very much. I don’t know what I should do. I hope you can give me some advice.

    I’m sorry to hear that you are not happy at your new school. I can fully understand your feelings, but there is no need to worry. All you need to do now is change your attitude.

    It’s quite normal that a person should feel nervous to answer a stranger’s question or uncomfortable in a new environment. As a matter of fact, your new classmates are as friendly to you as your old friends. So I suggest you open your heart and talk with them frankly and sincerely. When you show your kindness to them, you will find that they are really lovely and easy to get along with. And you will soon make many friends there.
