My first stay at home alone was very memorable. One day when I was twelve, both of my mother and father were away on the business, and I had to be all with myself for two days. My parents left early the first day, I got up soon after they left. The first evening I was a little scare, so I turned on all the lights. I actually keep the light on in my bedroom the whole night, that finally put me at ease. For fear of get up late the next morning, I put three alarm clocks near my bed and set the alarm respectively at 6:00, 6:10, and 6:15. In order to prove that I could take care of me, I washed my own clothes the next day, though I could wait for Mum to do it. I really felt proudly of myself and thought I had grown up.

How are you doing? Here is an exciting news for you. There will be an invention competition in our school in the 20th of October. However, there is a rule the participants shall be in a group. But I’d like to invite you to be my partners.

I’ve been Britain for two years. My friends in China sometime write to me, asked me how long I’ll stay here, and when I’m thinking of returning home. The answer to their question is simple: I do not know how to return home. At the moment, I have no reason to return back to China. I like living in Britain: I enjoy meeting British people and travel around the country. I am expected to have more chances to eat the British food. My study is very interesting, and there are so many things I didn’t know about Britain that I hope to discover it in the future.

Our class organized visit to the Joy Nursing Home, that is next to our school, last Sunday. On our arrival, we begin to help the senior people do the cleaning. After that, some of my classmate put on interesting performances, but then we played games with them. All of them were amusing and laughed happily. We were such lost in the activities that we forgot the time .At noon, we were all had to say goodbye to them. And they were extreme grateful to us for their visit.
