Nelson Mandela was born in 1918 in South Africa. He is a great black leader who devotes all his life to fighting for the equal rights for the black people.
It was 1952 when he set up a law office where many poor black people turned to him for help. Mandela first attacked the laws in a peaceful way, but this was not allowed. Only then did he decide to answer violence with violence. So he was put into prison.
