How are you doing? In your last letter, you asked me about the reversal of the brain drain in China, so I’m writing to introduce some relevant information to you.

There has been an increasing number of returnees since 2014. In 2014 alone, about 6.93 million returnees returned to China. Between 2015 and 2016, there were about 4.33 million coming back home. On top of that, the year 2017 witnessed a boom with a total of 18.62 million returnees.

This trend results from three reasons. Firstly, our government values returnees and has worked out a series of preferential policies, offering them opportunities to achieve success in their career. Secondly, they can enjoy ideal living and working conditions here in China. Most importantly, their roots are here in China.
