A Letter to High School Students in Shanghai

Dear fellow students,

Our city is aiming to build a “Healthy Expo--- No smoking today!”. I think it’s every student’s duty to work hard to achieve the goal.

As a high school student, what should we do?

There are some things we can do to make our city more beautiful and healthier. Firstly, we can join the “No smoking today!” society to become a volunteer. There we can learn some common sense about persuading people to give up smoking. Secondly, we can go to different public places to set up some alarm signs reading “No smoking today!”. In this way, we can make more people know the aim of our activity. Thirdly, when we see someone smoking in public places, we should persuade him or her to give it up to keep the air clean. And we should ask more people to sign their names to promise they won’t smoke again.

As for myself, I will do all the above to make our city the cleanest one in the world.
