Lewis Hamilton was bom in 1985,and his parents named him after the American sportsman Carl Lewis.
When Hamilton was 6,his father gave him a radio-controlled car and he began to win competitions. From this very young age,Hamilton's dream was to become a Formula 1 driver. In 2001,world Formula 1 (冠軍) Michael Schumacher raced against Hamilton in a go-cart race and said, “He's a quality(優質的) driver,very strong and only 16.If he keeps this up,I'm sure he will reach FI."
Schumacher was right. Lewis Hamilton started as a driver in FI races in 2007. Then in 2008,at the age of 23 ,Hamilton became the youngest world champion in FI history.
