Nowadays it’s common for many high school student to skip (跳過) breakfast, leading to both poor school performance or damage to their health.

insist 和suggest作謂語，為什么其后的賓語從句有的用虛擬語氣，有的用陳述語氣呢？這與這兩個動詞詞義的選擇和語氣的變化有關：

一．當insist作“堅持要”、“一定要”解時，其后的賓語從句應該用虛擬語氣，這時賓語從句所敘述的情況還未成事實，僅僅是主句主語的主觀愿望。但當insist作“堅持認為事實上…”“堅持說…是事實”解時，賓語從句所敘述的通常是客觀事實，或主句主語的觀點、看法，即他認為事實如此。如例1. “ He insisted that he should go with us.”句中的“he should go with us”僅僅是主語he的愿望要求，尚非事實；而例句2中的“she needed no help”則是主語she的觀點、看法，即她認為事實是這樣。
