What university should they choose to study in? what major should they study in university? We will also be faced with the same problem in year, so it brings a heated discussion among us students.
Some students think that it is better to rely on teachers or parents because they are more experienced. On the contrary, some other students think now they are already grown – ups, so they can decide everything for themselves. Besides, they agree that parents and teachers may have the ideas that may be out of date.
As far as I’m concerned, I think teachers and parents have more life experience. Also what they do will obviously benefit us. In a word, as students, we should take teachers and parents’ advice.

Recently I took part in an English speech contest and successfully went into the final. That day, I thought I had done a good job. At that moment I even had a strong feeling of being the champion. I never knew a few words and a kind smile could be so inspiring that I suddenly realized that frustration, sorrow, happiness and inspiration are treasures to make life more meaningful. It is these elements that make life real.

The Importance of a Good Education
Getting a good education may be the most important price you can pay, because, perhaps more than anything else, what you do with that huge gray material between your ears will determine your future. These words actually describe millions of people worldwide who choose to limit their potential ability by not widening their education.
A person is much more likely to have better job offers, more successful career with a better education. This, in turn, would allow for much better life style. For example, compare two men. The first person is a high school dropout. The second has a law degree. The high school dropout will be fortunate to get a job in food services, making less than twenty thousand dollars a year, barely surviving each week. To contrast this, the person with the law degree will certainly have a successful career as a lawyer, making over $ 70,000 annually. The lawyer will, of course, have a very wealthy lifestyle. Statistics show that high school dropouts make 42% less money than college graduates.
Our generation will become doctors, lawyers, teachers and leaders of tomorrow. To do this successfully, a higher level of education is very important! We must crave learning. This, in turn, will pay for not only our future but also will help to insure success for those who follow.

During summer holidays, two classmates, Tom and Peter, were traveling in the desert. As they were walking, they had an argument, and Tom was so angry that he slapped Peter hard across the face. Feeling curious, Tom, who had slapped and saved his best friend, asked Peter, “After I beat you, you wrote something in the sand but just now you put down what I had done on a stone. Why?”
Peter replied: “When someone hurts us, we should take it down in the sand where winds of forgiveness can erase it away. But when someone does something good for us, we must carve it in stone where no wind can ever erase it.”
Hearing that, Tom was deeply moved and understood what Peter had said and what he had done.
