As a high school student, I like to talk with foreigners to practise my oral English but learn more about other cultures. There were two foreign teachers in our school in this term. They often go to the English corner so that we can have a chance to practise a lang
uage. I seize every chance to talk them. However, I sometime find they are not so interesting in what I say, and it’s hard for I to choose a suitable topic. I would like some advices about how to communicate proper with foreigners, and what topics to pick.

Never should I forget the first English lesson giving by Miss Liu. On that day, when she entered the classroom, we found out that she was a young and beautiful lady. Then she introduced her and said we shouldn’t call her Teacher Liu but Miss Liu. Late, she let us go to the blackboard and say something about ourselves in English on turn. When it was my turn, I felt so shy that I don’t dare to say anything before the class. She went up to me and said kind, “Don’t be afraid. I believe you can do well.” At last, I went to the blackboard. She praised me for that I had done.

It is five years now since I graduate from No.3 High

This morning I went to ask for my English teacher to give me some advice on why to learn English well on the weekend. When I arrived his office at 8 o’clock, he had already done her work for almost one hour. First, we should make a plan of study and carry them out until we succeed. Then, we must master any basic knowledge of English such as 26 letters and 48 sounds. Vocabulary is bricks and grammar is bones. We can make different kinds of phrases and sentences with them according the rules. Finally, practice make perfect. When I leave, it was 12 o’clock. Through this lesson, I learned something which couldn’t be learned from textbooks.
