     We had an argument over whether it is necessary to carry out outer space explorations 
at a class meeting the other day.?
     Some of us held that it is important to research the outer space because,first of all,people
 can get a better understanding of the outer space through their exploration.Second,new
 resources can be found there for human use.Third,this exploration can possibly discover
 new living space for human beings.
     However,others think very differently.They said this kind of exploration is much too 
costly.There are many more important and practical programs that are badly in need of
 money.Besides,it is very dangerous for astronauts to do such work.?
     In my opinion,the human race should be active in finding out more about the universe,and 
such explorations into the outer space are worth trying out.There are countless examples to 
show that the progress of mankind depends on brave scientific explorations.For instance,if no 
one had ever dared to go into the sea,how could we possibly enjoy so many products from 
the oceans?Of course,careful plans should be made about how much money can be spent,
what can be done at present and what should be left for future generations.
