A woman in a wheelchair(輪椅)became a heroine when a two-year-old boy fell from a third floor window into her lap．
Barbara Jones is the 1 ．She is a 31-year-old woman who is unable to 2 ．Ms Jones was visiting her mother in Harlem．She was sitting in her wheelchair in a favorite place outside her 3 building．“I was 4 in the sunshine talking to a friend,”she said．“When I come to visit my mother, I have a favorite place where I like to sit and talk to the neighbors．It was in the Middle of July, and the sun was very 5 ．
We decided to go to a place on the other 6 of the building．I don't usually like to sit there because it is so noisy．But there I was! 7 something very strange happened．”
Above her, on the 8 floor of the building, Adonis Gomez was playing．He was jumping on a sofa．The sofa was near an 9 ．
“I was 10 in the kitchen,”his mother said．“It got too hot, so I opened the window in the living room．”
“I can jump higher than you can,”Adonis said to his brother．Adonis took a big 11 , but he didn't come back 12 on the sofa． 13 he bounced(彈出)out the open window．He fell three stories．His arms hit Ms Jones' 14 ．Then he rolled across her lap and fell to the ground next to her wheelchair．
Adonis was hurt, but not dead．Ms Jones had only a small cut near her left eye．“Now I know God had a 15 for me to move to that side of the building,”Ms Jones said．
