該句型意為“某人做某事真是太……了”，該句型中的形容詞表示不定式所具備的特征 或客況，for引出邏輯主語。該句型沖的形容詞描述的是人的特征、品質等。此類形容詞有：brave,careless,clever,foolish,generous,good,helpful,honest,kind,nice,polite,silly,stupid,wrong。注意：在此句型中，of后的賓語與動詞不定式之間存在邏輯 上的主謂關系，一般都可以轉換成一個以of后的賓語為主語的句子。
