Recently I’ve had a discussion with my parents about whether or not I should join the school basketball team.
They don’t think I am strong enough to be a good basketball player. I might get hurt while playing. And they hope I will spend more time on my studies. They think the students who like playing basketball are mostly bad students and playing sports will need more energy.
However, I don’t agree with them. I know they care about me. But becoming a member of the school team is my dream, you know. I’ll try my best to keep a balance between my study and sport. And I can be more careful when playing. The other members are friendly and helpful. I can make friends with them. Playing basketball can make me stronger and more energetic. It’s more important for me to learn how to work with others in a team.
