On 26 May,1928, at a meeting in Amsterdam, the FIFA decided they would hold a new football match. All its members could take part in it. A year later in Barcelona, all the teams agreed that Uruguay held the first World Cup the next year. This country is the No.1 in the Olympic Games and it’s also the strongest in football.
Only 13 countries took part in the opening. Nine came from South America. All games were played in the capital of Uruguay. The European teams played well, but the South American countries were the best.

Jane Goodall is a famous scientist.For more than 40 years，Goodall lived mostly in Tanzania in East Africa，studying chimpanzees.
As a young child，Jane Goodall was interested in animals. She grew up in the English country
side and was always climbing trees or riding horses.

When we talk about stars, especially women stars ,it seems that they are always young, pretty and own charming (迷人的)body shapes. But recently a Britain’s Got Talent（英國達人）star Susan Boyle has changed our views absolutely (完全地).

Ms Boyle also spoke of the reason she first began to explore her vocal talents, “I was kind of slow at school, so getting like singing was a good way of hiding behind that and thus it built my confidence.”
