In Canada,a school has made some of its students very happy by canceling homework for this year. Students from Grade One to Grade Six at College de Saint-Ambroise will be part of a one-year experiment to see if they actually do better in school without homework.
Some parents think it is a bad idea. They say homework is a way for them to keep track of (了解 的動(dòng)態(tài)) how their children are doing at school,and to help their children if they have problems. However,the headmaster says they will send home an exercise book so that parents can see how their children are doing.

Prince of Wales Public School tried a similar experiment six years ago. The school canceled homework for a year and found that the students’ grades improved.
