5．Extra-curricular activities
American schools give a high priority （優先）to sports，clubs and activities．The two major sports for American students are football and basketball．Schools may sell"spirit"shirt to wear to inter-school competitions and raise money．
There are also some cultural groups such as music groups，marching bands and debate teams．
