—How do you come to school?

—I come to school by car. (I take the car to school.)

2. How long does it take... ?詢問做某事所需要的時(shí)間。

—How long does it take you to go to work by bike?你騎車上學(xué)花多長時(shí)間？

— It takes me half an hour.要花我半小時(shí)。

3.—How far is it from... to... ?詢問兩地之間的距離。

—How far is it from your home to the train station?從你家到火車站有多遠(yuǎn)？

It’s about five kilometers.大約五公里。

而后兩個(gè)問題常常容易混淆。“How far”詢問距離時(shí)，回答語可以是距離，如：3 meters , 或是 3 kilometers 等，同時(shí)也可以用 3 minutes’ walk,3 hours’ train ride 等;“How long”的回答語，則是具體的時(shí)間，如:3 minutes,3 hours等，當(dāng)然“How long”還可以詢問物體的長度，如：—How long is the river? —It’s 3,000 kilometers long.
